Day 2: Snacking
Breakfast- Greek yogurt
Lunch- Turkey Sandwich (lettuce, tomato, artisan roll)
Dinner-Jenny Craig Meatloaf
Today was a good adjustment day into my new diet. I felt that already I am starting to lose weight and my clothes have been slipping right off me like Janet Jackson's top in the 2004 Superbowl....*(not exactly like that but eerily close). I am finding the importance going into this diet to eat many small meals, rather than a few big ones because I eat less and feel more full during the day.
A good way to stay full and energized throughout the day is to preplan snacks. Fruit is your best choice because it gives me the health sugars to stay energized. Personally, I believe there is a social hierarchy linked to the fruits we bring to school as a snack. I won't go into now, but know that Bananas are lame (unless you are Chiquita Banana) and pears are much socially acceptable, while peaches are just an all around HOT MESS. But, if you do find yourself bringing a banana to school make sure that it is ripe, the more ripe our bananas get the more antioxidants they hold. Also, I am not a fan of having nuts or granola as a snack, but any Trader Joes brand cereal is a good substitute to get you through the day. Overall, small snacking is good and you should do it!
